CLEVELAND SPEEDWAY / SOUTHERN REGIONAL RACING SERIES: Saturday Aug. 7th At a Glance

WHO:
The CLEVELAND SPEEDWAY in Cleveland, Tennessee and the Southern Regional Racing Series will sanction this dirt Super Late Model racing event. Tennessee racer Tony Morris along with brother Scott, Ricky Tucker, Jay Brinkley and East Tennessee racing legend Mike Luna bring their Middle Tennessee based racing organization once again back to Monty Morrow's legendary Saturday night dirt track.

WHAT:
The CLEVELAND SPEEDWAY will host the S.R.R.S touring fraction for the event, the HOT SUMMER NIGHTS 40 and will be the third event to be sanctioned by the S.R.R.S as Super Late Model racers from around the region will be vying for the over $13,000 purse, that pays $3,000 to the winner of the 40 lap feature. The series returns in October for the annual GRANT ADCOX MEMORIAL event, which pays $4,000 to the winner Saturday Oct. 16th.

WHEN:
On Saturday night August 7th, 2010 the CLEVELAND SPEEDWAY, will open the pit gates at 4PM EST, with general admission grandstand gates opening at 5PM. Racing is set to begin for 8PM with Hot Laps Practice for All Divisions. Shortly after 7:45PM drivers meeting. S.R.R.S SLM's will Qualifying and run a number of "B" Main Races that will determin the 24 starters of the "A" Main feature.

WHERE:
The track is located in Cleveland, TN on US Hwy. 11 (South Lee Highway) just off the US 64 Bypass (Exit 12 off I-75)

TICKETS:
On Saturday, August 7th, adult tickets will be $15, with children ages 6-11 just $3, and kids 6-under will be admitted free. Pit Passes will be $30. RESERVE SEATING is available the day of the race for the Top 3 rows in the grandstands for an additional $3.

PRE-RACE:
Concession Stands serving a variety of Coca-Cola Products opens up at 5PM. The track souvenir stand opens also providing not only racewear (t-shirts/hats) racing items and kids items, but also an asortment of icecream, candy and shaved ice treats, that help beat the heat. Driver sign-in for local classes will be held at the Pit Gate, while S.R.R.S registration and entry will take place at the Tony Morris racing trailer in the back Pit Area. A 7:45PM Drivers Meeting will be called for all drivers to be held at the Scale House in the infield Pit area.

ABOUT THE TRACK:
CLEVELAND SPEEDWAY is a tight clay-banked 1/3-mile oval racing facility, located just North of Chattanooga Tennessee outside the town of Cleveland. The speedway has been around for about forty (40) years and since it's conception has grown into one of the Souths premiere dirt track racing facility. Providing Live/Non-Stop dirt track racing excitement, the current dirt SLM track record of 12.813 seconds, established November 14th, 2009 by Dale McDowell of nearby Chickamagua, GA.
